WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

The Developer Experience & Productivity product team's vision is to deliver a development experience that The Trade Desk engineers love. We're a force multiplier for developer productivity. We design and deliver the tools and processes engineers need to maximize their effectiveness and build products quickly, confidently, and with high quality. In close collaboration with our world-class engineering team-and through a deep understanding of the software development life cycle-we systematically identify opportunities to improve how engineers build, test, and release high-quality features to TTD's customers.

You will have the opportunity to manage the product teams responsible for how we ship our software to production. This role incorporates stakeholder needs across the engineering organization to drive measurable improvements to overall developer productivity. Your team will own their charter end-to-end, operate against long-term roadmaps, and continuously enhance tooling, data platforms, and workflows to improve efficiency and quality at scale.

We are looking for a seasoned technical product leader who can help our team of passionate Product Managers execute on our vision of building a world-class development experience. At The Trade Desk, we trust our managers to grow, empower, and support our greatest asset-our people. We value courageous, collaborative PMs who set ambitious goals, think strategically, and execute with rigor, especially in highly technical and data-intensive environments.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Lead the Developer Experience & Productivity PM team, partnering closely with engineering, data, and platform stakeholders across the organization.
  • Define and evolve the Developer Productivity strategy and roadmap, incorporating modern data platforms, enterprise tooling, and AI-first capabilities.
  • Provide leadership on deeply technical initiatives in a complex, fast-paced environment, including projects that span developer tooling, data infrastructure, and enterprise systems.
  • Own execution of ambiguous, long-term initiatives with evolving requirements and high organizational impact.
  • Define and lead delivery of initiatives that materially improve platform efficiency, scalability, and developer effectiveness.
  • Collaborate effectively with senior leaders and stakeholders to define success metrics, manage trade-offs, and validate outcomes.
  • Proactively identify systemic issues, anticipate stakeholder needs, and drive improvements across tooling, processes, and data models.
  • Build, coach, and develop strong PM leaders and managers, fostering accountability and long-term capability growth.
  • Use data and qualitative insights to assess team performance, morale, and operational effectiveness, driving sustained improvements over time.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

  • A strong track record of leading developer productivity, platform, or data-focused product teams while building scalable, efficient tooling and processes.
  • 12+ years of experience as a Technical or Platform Product Manager, including ownership of strategy and roadmaps for complex, technology-heavy platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise data ecosystems, including Salesforce and Anaplan - experience with both is a major plus.
  • Demonstrated experience working with Salesforce Enterprise Data Warehouses (Salesforce EDW), including data modeling, integration, and downstream consumption.
  • Experience integrating AI-first capabilities into enterprise data warehouses, enabling intelligent automation, advanced analytics, or AI-powered developer and business workflows.
  • Strong ability to think critically and strategically about data model design and improvement, including identifying opportunities to improve scalability, usability, and long-term maintainability.
  • A proven track record of partnering closely with engineering and data teams to solve complex technical problems and deliver large, high-impact initiatives.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage deeply in technical discussions and clearly articulate trade-offs, risks, and timelines to senior leadership.
  • Durability and grit-comfort navigating ambiguity, iterating on solutions, and adapting plans as dependencies and requirements evolve.
  • Deep understanding of modern infrastructure environments (cloud, on-prem, DevOps) and a strong curiosity for emerging industry trends, particularly in data platforms and AI-enabled systems.
