Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Logistics Coordinator (Inventory Control and Quality Manager (ICQA)).

In this role, the successful candidate main priority is oversight of inventory supplies for Perioperative Services, Electrophysiology Lab, Cardiac Catheterization Lab, and Radiology.
Please Note: As this is a new role, workflows are subject to change. This position requires physical mobility throughout the hospital and flexibility as we build the department.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Cycle Counting:Perform daily physical inventory cycle counts to ensure on-hand qtys are in line with expected totals.
  • FIFO & Expiration Management:Physically rotate stock to enforce First-In, First-Out (FIFO) compliance and identify/remove expired products.
  • Variance Reconciliation:Conduct recounts on discrepancies identified during audits to assist in variance resolution.
  • Returns & Scrap Processing:Physically handle and process returned items and dispose of scrap materials according to hospital safety protocols.
  • Recall Support:Locate and remove recalled items from shelves immediately upon notification.
  • Par Level Reviews:Assist in data collection by verifying physical space capacity for par level adjustments.
  • Reporting:Generate high-level reports using Microsoft Suite for Senior Leadership regarding inventory health, expirations, recall summaries, financial accuracy, and data outliers.
  • Analytics: Analyze and synthesize large, complex datasets to uncover trends, translate findings into actionable insights, and support data-driven decision-making.
  • Physical Requirements:Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, bend, reach, and stand/walk for the majority of the shift at 550 1st Ave.

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Bachelors Diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum of 0-1 or more years of project management or procurement experience or supply chain experience in an acute care facility, healthcare, or related environment.
PC literacy is required with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
Effective communication skills, verbal and written.

Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree (BA/BS) required.
2-3 years of relevant inventory/retail experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Excel VLOOKUPs/Pivots, PowerPoint, Access).
Experience with PeopleSoft, QIAM (RFID), or similar ERP/WMS/IMS systems.
Strong analytical skills to interpret complex inventory data.
Attention to detail for accurate counting.
Experience with handheld scanners and data entry.

Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $70,481.61 - $75,684.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
