Job Description:

The Risk and Compliance Program Administrator serves as a centralized program management and coordination resource for the Risk Management Division of Gate City Bank (the "Bank"). This role functions as a project manager for Bank-wide risk and compliance programs, ensuring that compliance, financial crimes, and operational risk, activities are planned, executed, tracked, and reported effectively. The Program Administrator is responsible for driving work forward, maintaining organization and visibility across initiatives, supporting executive-level reporting, and ensuring appropriate governance routines and oversight mechanisms are operating as intended. This role works closely with Risk, Compliance, Technology, Audit, and Business partners to promote consistency, accountability, and timely execution across all aspects of the Bank's risk and compliance programs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Serve as a program and project management resource for Bank-wide risk and compliance initiatives and oversight activities.

  • Coordinate and track key activities related to Operational Risk, Compliance, and Financial Crimes programs.

  • Develop and maintain program plans, timelines, action item logs, and dependency tracking.

  • Ensure risk and compliance activities are executed in alignment with established governance frameworks.

  • Support governance routines, including committee scheduling, agenda development, materials preparation, and follow-up tracking.

  • Prepare clear, concise executive and committee reporting on program status, risks, and issues.

  • Maintain organized documentation, inventories, and evidence to support audits, exams, and internal reviews.

  • Track regulatory, audit, and internal issue remediation activities and escalate delays or concerns.

  • Partner with Risk and Compliance leaders to identify opportunities to improve efficiency, structure, and visibility across programs.

  • Provides a "Wow" customer service experience for team members, customers, and vendors.

  • Develops and maintains productive relationships with team members, leaders, customers, and vendors.

  • In order to provide expected levels of service to Gate City Bank customers, team members, and vendors; prompt and reliable attendance is an essential function of this position.

  • Must comply with all Gate City Bank policies, procedures, and applicable laws and regulations.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's degree preferred. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in banking, risk management, compliance, audit, project management, or a related operational role. Experience coordinating cross-functional initiatives and executive reporting is strongly preferred.

CERTIFICATES OR LICENSES:

Project management, risk, or compliance certifications (e.g., PMP, CRCM, CAMS, CERP) are a plus but not required.

ADDITIONAL SKILLS:

  • Knowledge of federal statutory and regulatory framework, including key consumer and wealth management regulatory expectations.

  • Experience managing Compliance Management Systems or Risk Management Systems in compliance with OCC supervisory expectations.

  • Project management experience with large scale projects.

  • Appropriate use of technology tools, including Data Analytics, to drive audit effectiveness and efficiency.

  • Ability to influence/motivate others to produce desired results.

  • Strong ability to work in a complex team environment requiring exceptional communication and organizational skills.

  • Superior analytical and critical thinking skills.

  • Excellent listening, verbal, written and presentation communication skills. Strong influencing and negotiation skills.
