Responsibilities

We are on a mission to enable endpoint protection to every person and organization on the planet. We are looking for an Principal Software Engineering Manager to help us nurture a world class engineering team and design and deliver services and tools to bring cutting-edge cyber security solutions to our enterprise customers to manage and protect devices against cyber threats. You will build bar-raising engineering solutions to accelerate modernization of hyper-cloud scale services.

    • Provide hands-on technical leadership: architecture, design, code reviews, development, quality assurance.
    • Collaborate across partner teams in Microsoft.
    • Lead and grow a team of high performing engineers.
    • Mentor, coach, hire,retainand grow top talent.

    • Taking part in code reviews, both as a reviewer and a reviewee, to ensure the quality of the software and promote best practices within the team.
    • Ship high-quality, well-tested, secure, and maintainable code.
    • Enjoy working in a fast-paced, design-driven, product development cycle.


    Qualifications
      • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C, Java, JavaScript, Rust, or PythonOR equivalent experience.

    Preferred Qualifications:

      • 2+ years people management experience of a software team
      • 6+ years working experience on large scale system architecture, design, development, testing and release of full product lifecycle.


    Software Engineering M5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $139,900 - $274,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $188,000 - $304,200 per year.
