Summary:

The Executive Director of PresNow Operations provides strategic and operational leadership for the PHS PresNow Model. PresNow locations deliver 24/7 emergency and urgent care services. This role oversees multi-site operations across all PresNow locations and ensures operational alignment with Presbyterian's integrated delivery system. The Executive Director is accountable for leading the team and accountable for overseeing clinical quality, patient safety, provider engagement, patient experience, operational performance, workforce engagement, and financial management.

The Executive Director works closely with a multi-disciplinary team including; hospital executives, emergency medicine leadership, nursing leadership, EMS partners, and system service line leaders to ensure PresNow sites operate as a seamless extension of Presbyterian hospitals and support the system's access, transfer, and patient flow strategies.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities
*Provide executive leadership and oversight for all PresNow centers across the Presbyterian system.
*Lead and mentor the Presnow Directors and Managers
*Foster & develop a team-based culture that focuses on providing safe, compassionate and equitable care.
*Ensure consistent operational performance across PresNow sites including patient throughput, access, wait times, and clinical care delivery.
*Lead operational integration between PresNow sites and Presbyterian hospitals including ED transfers, admissions, and system patient flow.
*Establish and maintain standardized operating procedures, workflows, and clinical operations across PresNow locations.
*Develop and manage operational performance dashboards in alignment and accordance with Presbyterian's Must Do's.
*Lead operational improvement initiatives and create standardized processes to enhance access to emergency and urgent care services across the community.
*Ensure PresNow locations operate in full compliance with state licensure, emergency department regulations, CMS requirements, and Presbyterian policies.
Clinical Quality and Patient Safety
*Partner with physician and nursing leadership to ensure PresNow locations maintain the highest standards of clinical quality and patient safety.
*Ensure adherence to Presbyterian clinical protocols, infection prevention standards, and quality reporting requirements.
*Monitor clinical performance metrics and implement improvement initiatives when performance gaps are identified.
*Promote a culture of safety, transparency, and continuous learning across PresNow teams.
Provider Engagement
*Partner with emergency medicine leadership to ensure operational workflows support high-quality patient care.
*Collaborate with medical leadership to improve provider efficiency, satisfaction, and team collaboration.
Financial and Operational Performance
*Oversee PresNow operational budgets including labor management, productivity, forecasting, and expense stewardship.
*Implement operational improvement strategies that support Presbyterian system financial and strategic objectives.
Leadership and Workforce Engagement
*Lead, mentor, and develop PresNow operational leaders including site directors and operations managers.
*Promote a high-performing and engaged culture focused on teamwork, accountability, and service excellence.
*Support recruitment, retention, and professional development of PresNow employees.
*Ensure consistent application of Presbyterian policies and workforce engagement strategies.
Integrated Delivery System Collaboration
*Work closely with Presbyterian Delivery System Leadership to ensure PresNow sites support system-wide patient flow and capacity management.
*Coordinate with system departments including finance, Albuquerque Ambulance, human resources, quality, revenue cycle, and emergency services.
*Support Presbyterian strategic initiatives related to access to care, community emergency services, and ambulatory growth.

Additional Job Description:

* Master's Degree Required
* RN Preferred
* Minimum of 10 years of progressive healthcare leadership experience.
* Experience in emergency department operations, urgent care operations, or high-acuity ambulatory care environments.
* Demonstrated success driving operational improvement in complex clinical environments.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
* Strong operational leadership and team development capabilities.
* Expertise in emergency and urgent care operational workflows.
* Knowledge of patient safety programs, quality improvement frameworks, and healthcare regulatory requirements.
* Strong financial acumen and experience managing operational budgets.
* Ability to influence interdisciplinary teams including physicians, nurses, and executive leaders.
* Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
