STS Line Maintenance is hiring A&P Mechanics in Phoenix, Arizona. This is a hands-on line maintenance role supporting commercial aircraft operations in a fast-paced environment where precision, safety, and reliability matter. Position Overview

The A&P Maintenance Technician supports daily line maintenance operations while working closely with Station Managers, Lead Technicians, airlines, and Maintenance Control. This role ensures aircraft are maintained to airworthiness standards and are ready for service without delay.

You will be working on active aircraft, in real time, where your decisions and execution directly impact operations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform inspections, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs on transport category aircraft
  • Ensure all maintenance is completed in accordance with FAA regulations, airworthiness directives, and company procedures
  • Work closely with Station Managers, Lead Technicians, airlines, and flight crews
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic system discrepancies
  • Repair or replace defective components using approved technical documentation
  • Utilize precision tools and test equipment to measure wear and determine serviceability
  • Maintain accurate maintenance documentation and records
  • Support aircraft readiness and on-time performance
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
  • Perform additional duties as required to support operations
  • Work outdoors and in varying weather conditions as required

  • Boeing 737 and 767
  • Boeing 787
  • Airbus A320 family

Qualifications

  • Must hold a current FAA Airframe & Powerplant License with no history of infractions
  • Recent experience on turbine-powered aircraft preferred
  • Experience working in Part 145 or Part 135 environments strongly preferred
  • Must own a standard set of line maintenance tools
  • Strong troubleshooting ability across electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems
  • Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals, schematics, and technical documentation
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Must be able to pass background check, drug and alcohol screening, and obtain Customs and Border Protection clearance
  • Must be able to stand, climb, and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Must be flexible to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays

Compensation and Benefits

  • Pay range: $32 to $40 per hour based on experience and training
  • Full-time employees eligible for PTO, Health Insurance, and 401K
