Location(s): Atlanta, GA
(Hybrid: 2 days per week on site)

Overview
Seeking a Senior Scrum Master to support Agile delivery teams by fostering a Lean-Agile mindset, improving delivery predictability, and enabling high-performing, self-organizing teams. This role requires strong facilitation, coaching, and systems-thinking capabilities within a scaled Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities
Agile Facilitation & Execution

• Facilitate Scrum ceremonies: Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
• Support scaled Agile events including cross-team planning, dependency management, and Inspect & Adapt sessions.
• Promote effective use of information radiators and team transparency practices.

Planning & Backlog Management

• Partner with Product Owners to drive quarterly, release, and sprint planning.
• Guide backlog refinement to meet Definition of Ready (DoR).
• Maintain a healthy, prioritized backlog aligned with short- and mid-term delivery goals.

Team Coaching & Enablement

• Coach teams toward self-organization, continuous improvement, and delivery ownership.
• Build psychological safety and foster a collaborative team environment.
• Facilitate resolution of team conflicts and remove delivery impediments.
• Shield teams from external disruptions to maintain focus and productivity.

Cross-Team Coordination

• Manage dependencies across teams and stakeholders.
• Ensure alignment across product, engineering, and leadership.
• Communicate delivery progress, risks, and blockers clearly.

Metrics & Continuous Improvement

• Track and analyze Agile metrics (cycle time, throughput, WIP, etc.).
• Drive data-informed conversations to improve team performance.
• Recommend and implement new metrics aligned to team context.

• 5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master.
• Strong experience with Scrum, Kanban, and Agile scaling frameworks (SAFe preferred).
• Expertise in Kanban practices, including:
  • Flow-based metrics (cycle time, throughput, WIP limits).
  • Backlog flow optimization.
  • Hybrid Scrum-Kanban application.
• Proven ability to coach teams and build trust quickly.
• Experience in scaled Agile environments with cross-team coordination.
• Strong communication skills (verbal, written, virtual collaboration tools).
• Bachelor's degree (preferably in IT or related field).

• Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM, or equivalent).
• Experience transitioning teams toward spec-driven or design-first development models.
• Strong systems thinking and delivery management discipline.

• Must be based in the Atlanta, GA area.
• Required to work onsite at least 2 days per week (may increase based on team alignment).
