Almond Huller/Sheller Plant Operator and Repairs & Maintenance Mechanic

Supervises the daily plant production operations to maximize quality, productivity, and safety during almond harvest.  Operates and tends machinery in the plant; knowledge and function of hulling and shelling equipment, including color sorters, gravity table, shaker decks and aspirator, and shear rolls.  Responsible for outgoing weights and correctly filling out all paperwork and documentation associated with product running through the plant.  Fills bins or hoppers with hulled or shelled almonds and completes necessary paperwork for office personnel in preparing for processor pick-up.  Moves hopper trailers in and out of the Huller.  Operates forklift, moving bins in and out of the Huller/Sheller and loading on trucks as needed.  Is responsible for overseeing plant is kept clean and maintained for safety and productivity, executing quality and efficient operations.  Contributes within a team environment, assisting others as needed, including pre-cleaner personnel.  Understanding and willingness to abide by all safety protocols.  Maintains and performs huller repairs in season, and off-season full-time.  On the job training for Forklift and Ariel Lift certification.  Bilingual a plus (English/Spanish).  Will train the right candidate but experience is preferred.
