ChristianaCare Su Centro de Salud is seeking a professional, dependable, detail-oriented Medical Assistant I with strong communication, integrity, and solid technical and clinical skills.

Su Centro de Salud is in Wilmington, Delaware. Su Centro de Salud provides personalized primary care and family medicine services for the Hispanic community. Staffed by Spanish-speaking, culturally competent providers, the center focuses on building strong patient-provider relationships and delivering care tailored to the unique health needs of the community. Services offered include sick and well visits, physical examinations including sports physicals, preventive care, and chronic condition management.

As a Medical Assistant I, you support physicians in virtual and on-site patient care, performing essential clinical and clerical duties to ensure quality care.

Work Schedule:

• Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• Friday: 8 a.m. to 4:30p.m.
• No weekends or holidays
• You will need to take the Fluency Certification for Spanish.

Duties / Responsibilities:

The Medical Assistant I greets and supports patients virtually and in person, prepares them for visits, performs basic clinical tasks (e.g., testing, injections, EKGs), assists with exams, and maintains exam rooms and equipment. They manage EMR updates, patient communications, referrals, authorizations, and scheduling, while handling clerical duties, troubleshooting video visits, and supporting patient portal access.

Position Qualifications:

• High School Graduate or GED required.

• A graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant Program or hold current Medical Assistant Certification by a national organization accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) or the American National Standards Institute (ANSI).
