SHIFT: Day (United States of America)Seeking Breakthrough Makers Title: Postdoctoral fellow in cardiovascular genetics specializing in big data and AI-modeling - CHOP/UPenn, Philadelphia, USA. Description: A postdoctoral fellow position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Anderw Landstrom at the Cardiovascular Institute at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) and University of Pennsylvania (UPenn). The Landstrom laboratory uses a range of molecular and cellular biology, human genetcs, and translational clinical phenotype platforms to study the underpinnings of cardiomyopathies and cardiac channelopathies. The candidate will work closely with Dr. Landstrom and the research team to develop AI-based models for predicting disease risk, and disease progression, based on genome sequencing and large clinical databases. The candidate will have the opportunity to apply this work across a range of heritable cardiovascular diseases, linking basic science inquiry with clinically impactful outcomes. Candidates must have a PhD (or equivalent) and significant experience in genomics, informatics, and artificial intelligence. Candidates would ideally have experience in human genetics, cardiovascular disease, and clinical disease phenotype data.
