Job Summary The Senior Marketing Tech Enablement Manager will serve as the technical architecture authority for marketing automation and CDW's marketing technology ecosystem. This role owns platform intake, triage, and the overall health of our martech ecosystem. They partner closely with IT and technology teams to ensure scalable system design, stable integrations, and a proactive roadmap for feature development. In addition, this role will be responsible for designing, implementing, and governing API-driven, cloud-native integrations across CDP, CRM, journey orchestration, analytics, and activation platforms. What you'll do Strategic Technical Architecture & System Design
- Own and define the end-to-end architecture for the marketing automation and martech ecosystem, ensuring platforms, data flows, and integrations are reliable, scalable, and aligned with enterprise IT standards.
- Translate marketing requirements into technical specifications and architectural solutions.
- Own the intake queue for marketing platform requests, incidents, enhancements, and defects.
- Triage and prioritize issues, determine root causes, and coordinate with IT and vendors to drive timely resolution.
- Partner with IT and Data teams to maintain alignment on data models, APIs, middleware, and infrastructure.
- Design and document RESTful APIs including authentication, rate limiting, troubleshooting, versioning, and error handling, and evaluate MarTech platforms for API maturity and integration complexity.
Cloud & Data Architecture
- Architect cloud-native integration solutions leveraging AWS, Azure, or equivalent platforms.
- Design scalable ingestion pipelines supporting batch and real-time flows.
- Establish monitoring, logging, and observability standards.
- Ensure secure handling of PII and compliance with governance standards.
- Evaluate technical debt and recommend re-architecture strategies.
Operational Excellence & Governance
- Maintain ongoing health, performance, and governance for platforms like Marketo, SFMC, Salesforce CRM, AEP/RTCDP, Monday.com, and analytics tools.
- Ensure documentation, system configurations, integrations, and automations follow consistent governance and version control.
- Monitor platform usage, security, and stability, escalating risks proactively.
- Establish integration guardrails and governance standards.
- Maintain system diagrams, sequence diagrams, and API documentation.
- Oversee vendor technical deliverables for architectural compliance.
Enablement & Technical Leadership
- Own the feature development lifecycle-from gathering requirements to prioritization, solutioning, QA, rollout, and change management.
- Maintain a forward-looking roadmap that aligns with marketing strategy, business needs, and enterprise technology direction.
- Translate architectural designs into technical documentation and executive summaries.
- Build, mentor, and develop a highperforming Marketing Technology team, including coaching team members on stakeholder management, strategic thinking, and technical skills.
- Accountability for setting team priorities, capacity planning, and resource allocation.
- Drive alignment and capability adoption by partnering with Marketing, Sales, RevOps, Data, and Digital teams to translate complex architectural concepts into clear documentation and ensure organizationwide understanding and adoption of new MarTech capabilities.
Project & Budget Management
- Manage technical resource allocation and integration capacity planning.
- Oversee end-to-end MarTech implementations.
- Guide integration roadmap prioritization based on scalability and risk.
Thought Leadership & Continuous Modernization
- Champion modernization through composable architecture and API-first design.
- Stay current on evolving API standards and cloud infrastructure models.
- Lead innovation initiatives around AI/ML-driven decisioning.
What we expect of you
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field and 7+ years of experience in Marketing Technology, CRM integration, or enterprise integration engineering or 11+ ears of experience in Marketing Technology, CRM integration, or enterprise integration engineering
- 5+ years designing and implementing RESTful APIs including authentication and governance standards.
- Strong understanding of HTTP protocols, JSON payload design, and event-driven architecture.
- Experience writing technical integration specifications.
- Working knowledge of Python, JavaScript/Node.js, or similar languages.
- Experience architecting cloud-native integrations using AWS or Azure.
- Familiarity with event streaming platforms such as Kafka or EventBridge.
- Deep understanding of data modeling and CDP architecture.
- Required Platform Expertise: Adobe (AEP, Marketo, RTCDP, Target) and Salesforce.
- Proven leadership experience managing technical teams.
- Strong executive communication skills.
- Willingness to travel up to 10%.
