Position Summary The Senior HR Manager is a strategic, field-based HR leader supporting an assigned region and its store leadership teams. This role drives business performance through strong HR expertise, including talent strategy, workforce planning, employee relations leadership, and performance management. Partnering closely with field leaders, the Senior HR Manager translates business priorities into practical people solutions that strengthen leadership capability, improve operational results, and mitigate risk. Operating within a collaborative national HR structure, this role partners with peer HR leaders, HR Generalists, COEs, and Legal to ensure consistent, high-impact HR support across the organization. Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted advisor to Regional and District leaders, aligning people strategy with operational and financial goals while driving accountability and performance.
- Lead complex investigations and employee relations matters, ensuring fair, consistent, and legally compliant resolution while mitigating organizational risk.
- Coach leaders on performance management, corrective action, terminations, conflict resolution, and organizational effectiveness - providing steady guidance through difficult decisions.
- Partner closely with peer HR Managers across the country to ensure consistency in approach and decision-making; provide cross-regional backup support during PTO or high-volume periods.
- Work collaboratively with HR Generalists, Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, Learning & Development, HRIS, and Legal to deliver integrated HR solutions that support field operations.
- Assess bench strength, succession readiness, retention risks, and hiring strategies to ensure strong talent pipelines across multi-unit locations.
- Support restructuring, workforce transitions, policy implementation, and cultural initiatives while maintaining engagement and operational continuity.
- Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies; proactively identify and address risk areas across assigned markets.
Education and Experience
- 8-10 years of experience coupled with a bachelor's degree Human Resources, or related degree. (PHR or SPHR preferred)
- Strong business acumen with the ability to connect HR strategy to operational performance
- Exceptional employee relations and investigation capability
- Executive presence and credibility with field leadership
- High emotional intelligence and sound judgment
- Ability to influence without direct authority
- Strong collaboration skills across a distributed HR team
- Ability to operate independently in a home-based role
- Clear, confident communicator (verbal and written)
- Willingness and ability to travel 15-25%

- Federal, state, and local employment law (multi-state exposure preferred)
- Retail or multi-unit service industry workforce dynamics
- Performance management and progressive discipline practices
- Organizational design and change management principles
- HR compliance and risk mitigation frameworks
- Cross-functional HR operating models (COE and field partnership structure)
