Overview
QuarterLine (QL), a Planned Systems International (PSI) company, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychology Technician to join the behavioral health team at William Beaumont Army Medical Center, Fort Bliss, TX. This position plays an essential role in supporting the delivery of comprehensive mental health services to active-duty service members, veterans, and their families. The Psychology Technician will assist in the assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation of patients experiencing a range of behavioral health conditions. Responsibilities include conducting basic psychological assessments, supporting individual and group therapy sessions, monitoring patient progress, and providing education aligned with care plans. This role also involves implementing safety measures for at-risk patients, assisting with daily living needs, and maintaining accurate clinical documentation.
Working closely with psychologists, psychiatrists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, the Psychology Technician contributes to a collaborative, interdisciplinary approach to care. The position also requires coordination with military and community resources to support patient treatment, recovery, and continuity of care.

Duty Location: William Beaumont Army Medical Center, Ft. Bliss, TX (Interdisciplinary Pain Management Clinic). No Telework allowed.
- Duty Hours: Monday - Friday, 0730 - 1630.
Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities
Core Duties: A Psychology Technician supports mental health professionals in delivering care, treatment, and rehabilitation services to patients. Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting basic psychological assessments, interviews, and testing.
- Assisting with individual and group therapy and therapeutic activities.
- Monitoring, documenting, and reporting patient progress.
- Providing patient education and supporting care plans.
- Implementing safety measures to prevent injury or self-harm.
- Assisting with daily living needs such as hygiene, nutrition, and comfort.
- Taking and recording vital signs.
- Coordinating with military, community, and healthcare agencies for patient care and referrals.
- Maintaining accurate medical records and reports.
- Supporting care for patients experiencing acute stress or post-traumatic reactions.
Minimum Requirements
- Degree/Education: Certificate. Graduation from an accredited Psychiatric Technician Program; or completion of an equivalent education and experience that meets the requirement of the American Association of Psychiatric Technicians or completion of education and experience as a behavioral science specialist/technician in the United States military and proof of having completed an Armed Forces course involving psychiatric technician training.
- Experience: One year of experience within the last two years as a Psychiatric Technician.
- Legal Authorization to Work in the United States: The contract worker performing under this contract must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Certification(s): Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross. Certification cards must display the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross. Web-based (on-line) classes are not acceptable by the Government.
Physical Demands
- Contract workers must be capable of lifting overhead 20 pounds, bending repetitively, Twist/turn at waist without restriction, no difficulty grasping/pulling.
Additional Information
- Occupational Health: The contract worker shall be required to obtain documentation of required physical testing or a report of a physical examination.
- Tuberculosis Screening: The Contractor ensure contract workers shall be screened for tuberculosis (TB). In addition, contract worker will be screened prior to reporting for services at the place of performance for the following: N/A
- Health Requirements. The Contractor shall provide documentation certifying health requirements such as immunizations, annual vaccinations, and physical examination when required at the time of initial placement.
