Job Overview: The Advanced Endoscopy Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) serves a critical role in facilitating timely access to advanced endoscopic procedures by expediting referrals from general gastroenterology practices directly to procedural care. This direct-access model minimizes unnecessary office visits, reduces delays from referral to procedure, and helps maintain the program's competitiveness. In addition, the APN is responsible for communicating results to referring gastroenterologists and coordinating downstream care when necessary, including referrals to oncology, surgery, and surveillance imaging.
