Are you passionate about helping customers and ready to grow your career in the mortgage industry? We're seeking a *Customer Experience Specialist I* to join our Consumer Direct Lending team and play a key role in guiding customers through the mortgage loan process-from application to closing.
This entry-level role is ideal for someone who loves working with people, thrives in a fast-paced call center environment, and wants to build a long-term career with a respected leader in mortgage lending. *What You'll Do* * Serve as the primary point of contact for customers after their initial conversation with a licensed loan officer * Handle high-volume inbound calls and texts, as well as outbound customer follow-ups * Guide customers through the loan origination and fulfillment process with clarity and care * Manage a pipeline of up to *75 active loans*, supporting customers from start to finish * Respond to customer questions via phone, email, and text in a timely, professional manner * Perform routine data entry, validation, and queue monitoring to keep loans moving forward * Collaborate with internal teams to resolve issues and expedite processing * Conduct basic research to accurately address customer inquiries * Escalate complex issues to senior associates or supervisors when needed * Meet quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction standards * Follow established policies, procedures, and compliance requirements *What Success Looks Like* * Delivering exceptional customer experiences on every interaction * Managing multiple loans and customer touchpoints with strong organization and time management * Communicating clearly, confidently, and empathetically with customers * Staying detail-oriented in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment *Skills & Qualifications* * 1+ year of experience in the *mortgage industry* * Strong customer service and phone presence * Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and attention to detail * Effective written and verbal communication skills * Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet daily productivity goals * Comfortable working independently while being a collaborative team player * Proficient with computers and common applications (Microsoft, Google, etc.) *Job Type & Location*This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Louis, MO. *Pay and Benefits*The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
