In this seniorlevel role, you will oversee Clario's compliance with global data privacy laws and regulations, lead and manage data privacy attorneys, and drive the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of Clario's global data privacy compliance program. What You'll Be Doing
Direct and oversee the work of Data Privacy Attorneys, including management of unauthorized disclosures and data breaches (investigation, remediation, reporting, and documentation) Lead responses to subject access requests (SARs) and personally identifiable information (PII) deletion requests Oversee ongoing implementation and operation of Clario's Data Privacy Monitoring Program Act as a data privacy subject matter expert for internal stakeholders developing new products or enhancing existing offerings, including providing privacybydesign counseling Manage the review and negotiation of customer and thirdparty agreements addressing data privacy and security obligations, including master services agreements and data processing agreements Provide legal guidance on international data transfers and related compliance requirements Support and advise on data privacy impact assessments (DPIAs) Partner with Quality Assurance to respond to data privacy inquiries arising from customer audits Ensure data privacy compliance documentation, including policies and procedures, is accurate, organized, and centrally maintained to support audit and reporting needs Promote data privacy compliance awareness through development of mandatory privacy training content and targeted training initiatives Support the continuous improvement of Clario's data privacy program by reviewing and updating policies, SOPs, and related documentation Monitor and interpret changes in global data privacy laws, regulations, and industry developments and assess their impact on Clario Lead or participate in crossfunctional internal meetings and customer calls related to data privacy events and compliance requirements.
What We Look For
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited institution Active membership in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar Minimum of 7 years of experience operationalizing compliance with, and negotiating agreements under, global data privacy laws and regulations, including GDPR, PIPL, the EU AI Act, and U.S. state privacy and AI laws Prior experience managing attorneys and/or nonattorney professionals, with demonstrated leadership capability Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to engage senior leadership, customers, and vendors Excellent legal judgment and business acumen with a pragmatic, riskbased approach Ability to analyze complex data privacy laws and translate them into practical, implementable guidance Proven ability to clearly explain complex legal concepts to nonlegal audiences, both verbally and in writing Comfort managing multiple highpriority initiatives in a fastpaced environment Superior attention to detail with strong organizational and timemanagement skills Collaborative, teamoriented mindset Experience working in healthcare or another highly regulated industry Comfort advising on new technologies and handling sensitive data
