Key Accountabilities Essential Functions * Greet customers, visitors, and employees as they arrive at the designated premises or buildings. * Maintain contact logs with employees and visitors, including equipment and reason for visit information. * Serve as a communication liaison between the Trucking Supervisor and/or acting supervisors. * Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that could pose security risks or safety hazards. * Keep detailed records of trucks, trailers, equipment, and company information entering and exiting the gate. * Contact supervisors in emergency situations or when threats arise, and attempt to manage situations until help arrives. * Provide assistance and support to customers, visitors, and employees at the gates, maintaining a professional and courteous manner. * Coordinate equipment availability and on-site resources. * Manage trailer inspections, and handle pickup and drop-off paperwork. * Possess knowledge of truck, trailer, and equipment types. * Operate a forklift for loading and unloading sandboxes. * Perform other duties as assigned. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge/Skill/Ability * Act professional. * Ability to read and write detailed reports. Strong phone and computer skills - MS office and MS Excel. * Knowledge in operating various commonly used office equipment's and electronic media. * High level of organizational skills. * Ability to work in a team environment. * Ability to work under pressure. * Ability to use the internet and to do research work.
Language Comprehension Ability to understand and speak English at a level of proficiency allowing employee to issue, receive and respond to both safety and operations-related directions in English
