Job Description

Stellantis is seeking an EE Validation Project Chief (VPC) to lead and coordinate electrical system validation activities across vehicle programs. The VPC ensures project development aligns with quality, timing, and cost objectives while maintaining compliance with technical requirements. This role serves as the primary interface between the EE Validation & Industrialization (EEVI) team and program stakeholders, managing deliverables, resources, and technical issue resolution throughout the validation lifecycle.



Key Responsibilities:



  • Serve as the liaison between EEVI and Project Responsible (PR) for specific vehicle programs.
  • Develop and maintain program budgets, timelines, and validation plans.
  • Define and manage ECU tracking and Design Verification Plans (DVP).
  • Coordinate the build and commissioning of test properties (Plywood Buck, VHIL, HIL, vehicles), and determine vehicle count/needs for validation, obtain approval and submit vehicle requests.
  • Manage manpower assessments, vehicle requests, test property readiness, vehicle program deliverables and overall ownership of program plan execution.
  • Collect and distribute software readiness reports (SRRs) and Component Version Verification Reports (CVVRs).
  • Lead validation planning for change requests, bulletins, and series cards assessing the impact to the budget (manpower, equipment, vehicles, etc.) and program timing.
  • Maintain and update vehicle configurations, scan reports, and key programming data.
  • Oversee test property reservations and ensure timely updates before validation loops.
  • Support vehicle-level EMC testing and End-of-Line (EOL) tester development.
  • Drive issue resolution through GIMS and other issue management systems.
  • Represent EEVI in program reviews, quality meetings, and at assembly plants.
  • Ensure timely completion of compliance reports and support lessons learned processes.
  • Publish validated software for use across development fleets.

Requirements

Basic Qualifications:



  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related degree field.
  • 8 years of experience in automotive electrical systems design, development, or validation.
  • Proven experience in managing validation programs, budgets, and resources.
  • Strong understanding of DVP&R development and execution.
  • Effective communication and leadership skills with the ability to manage cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with CAN bus systems and diagnostic tools (e.g., CANoe, CANalyzer).
  • Familiarity with electrical debugging tools (e.g., multimeter, oscilloscope, current probes).
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Master's degree in a related engineering field.
  • Experience with Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) and Vehicle-Hardware-in-the-Loop (VHIL) systems.
  • Demonstrated success in issue resolution and process improvement initiatives.
  • Certified problem-solving skills (e.g., Green Belt, Black Belt).
  • Experience supporting vehicle launch, EMC testing, and EOL development.
  • Knowledge of software validation processes and publishing validated software.
