Job Description

The Supply Chain Management (SCM) Production Planning Specialist is responsible for managing all aspects of developing vehicle schedules (slotted orders) for an Assembly Plant (s) adhering to the production program, supplier, and plant constraints. Adjust schedules as required to sustain production. In some instances, this may require weekend assistance.


Responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to:



  • Lead discussions between key stakeholders to maintain a steady flow of usable orders to extend gate line (sequenced orders)


  • Collaborate with the assembly plant management for the development of launch curves for new features/programs


  • Must be able to work with others and build consensus to solve complex problems


  • The position requires strong interaction with key stakeholder's counterparts within SCM Production Planning, SCM Demand Planning, Plant personnel & SCM Capacity Planning to ensure the production plan balances inventory and profit opportunity


  • Enabling successful buildouts and new model year launches by managing orders and program in line with launch curves and buildout timing


  • Collaborating with ICT to optimize OSS and FOG to achieve business goals

Requirements

Basic Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance or related field
  • 5 + years of experience in Supply Chain Management, Purchasing, Production Planning, Manufacturing or closely related field
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to present information in a clear and concise manner across various areas and levels of the company utilizing tools such as PowerPoint
  • Passion for continuous improvement and motivated to build and lead a successful team that consistently delivers results
  • Advanced analytical skills and the ability to successfully use Excel and other analysis tools and processes
  • Ability to handle multiple complex issues simultaneously and quickly adapt to changes in direction or approach
  • Ability to think strategically and develop/improve processes
  • Self-directed
