Overview

The E-Mobility Advisory Services team at Con Edison is searching for a talented Senior Program Specialist to empower fleets and charging developers on their journey to electrification. A critical resource in the clean energy transition, this team delivers hands-on support for vehicle electrification, offering an array of tools and services that facilitate project implementation, encourage grid-friendly charging station design and operation, drive participation in Con Edisons incentives and programs, and create positive examples to serve as models in driving the transition to electric vehicles.

In this role, youll provide high-impact tools and services, including site capacity evaluations, interconnection guidance, rate education, and fleet electrification planning. Every service is tailored to ensure participantsfrom government agencies and school bus operators to multi-national companies and local bakeriescan adopt electric vehicle solutions that meet their unique needs.

By joining, youll be at the center of a dynamic and growing initiative, working with a broad spectrum of stakeholders across the electric vehicle ecosystem, and playing a pivotal role in advancing transportation electrification throughout New York City and Westchester County.

Responsibilities

Core Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive support for all facets of E-Mobility Advisory Services program delivery
  • Conduct site capacity assessments, electric rate analyses, and fleet electrification evaluations for program participants.
  • Offer subject matter expertise regarding electric vehicle capabilities and limitations, charging infrastructure design and operations, electric rate structures, and the Con Edison service connection process.
  • Foster and maintain strong relationships with participants by ensuring consistent communication and a best-in-class customer experience throughout the program lifecycle.
  • Maintain and update all program tracking and reporting systems.
  • Ensure operational excellence throughout the Advisory Services program pipeline, from initial intake through successful completion.
  • Monitor program status and deliver regular progress updates and forecasts to internal stakeholders and senior management.
  • Advise participants on the strategic use of available electric vehicle and charging infrastructure incentives, addressing their specific needs and constraints.
  • Evaluate the impact of Advisory Services programs on participant outcomes and broader business objectives.
  • Create and update external-facing materials that accurately represent program offerings and value.
  • Collaborate with internal teams across the Company, including engineering and project management teams, and external partners to enhance the quality and content of Advisory Services programs.
  • Develop outreach initiatives and educational resources focused on vehicle electrification and utility interconnection processes.
  • Build and manage productive relationships with program participants and key stakeholders within the vehicle electrification ecosystem.

Qualifications

Required Education/Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree and 3 years of work experience
Preferred Education/Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in sustainability discipline and 3 years of work experience with project management or clean energy program experience.
Relevant Work Experience
  • Ability to build positive relationships with colleagues who have a diverse set of experiences and approaches in order to drive business results, is Required.
  • Demonstrated organizational capabilities, is Required.
  • Demonstrated ability to think critically and analytically, is Required.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage tense, complex, or technical customer issues in a calm, thorough, and professional manner, is Required.

  • Strong communication, presentation, and writing skills, is Required.
  • Highly proficient in the Microsoft Office suite (i.e., Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint), is Required.
  • Experience with or knowledge of utility new business service connection processes and operations, is Preferred.
  • Experience with or knowledge of utility rates, is Preferred.
  • Experience with or knowledge of medium- and heavy-duty vehicle fleet operations or the transportation and logistics industry, is Preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of electric vehicles and fleet electrification, is Preferred.
  • One to two years of project management experience at a utility, is Preferred.
  • Experience communicating with internal and external stakeholders in customer-facing or regulatory environments, is Preferred.
  • Knowledge of electric vehicle policies and programs is Preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of EV charging station operations and economics, is Preferred.
Licenses and Certifications
  • Driver's License Required
Additional Physical Demands
  • Must be able to respond to Company emergencies by performing a System Emergency Assignment to restore service to our customers.
