Position Summary

Assists with performances and rehearsals in the Department of Music's Keller Hall. Works front-of-house and backstage to provide service and support to audience and musicians. This job can be fast-paced and physically demanding.

Front-of-house duties include: taking tickets, ushering, distributing programs, regulating student attendance, adhering to fire safety code

Backstage duties include: locking and unlocking Keller Hall, setting the stage and carrying out set changes (including moving piano, sound shell and chairs), assisting performers, clearing and maintaining the Hall

Other duties include: assisting with cleaning, repairs, special projects, office work, publicity, and other tasks as needed


Minimum Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

Students with Work Study awards preferred. Must be organized and reliable, with great interpersonal skills.

Skill Requirements

Reliability: Be on time, understand your work assignments for the shift. Performances can't start on time without you.

Soft Skills: Be a good communicator, treat others with respect, and work well with your teammates.

Physical: Must be able to lift 40 pounds

Time: Must be able to work evenings and/or weekends

Personal: Be neat, clean, and professional in appearance. Wear all-black concert-appropriate attire with close-toed shoes. Be attentive to your surroundings so that you are aware of performer and patron needs.
