Primary Purpose of the Organizational Unit
The primary purpose of Mental Health and Wellbeing Services is to address the Mental Health and Wellbeing needs of UNCG students and the community at large. The unit serves to provide strategic visioning for the university community regarding mental health and wellbeing prevention, early intervention, intervention and recovery to support students and their academic success.
Position Summary
The primary purpose of this position is to serve as an Administrative Support Specialist for the Mental Health and Wellbeing Services. This position will provide purchasing, human resource and budgeting support for Mental Health and Wellbeing Services. This position will provide administrative support to the Director of Mental Health and Wellbeing Services. This position will assist in the administration of prevention and early intervention initiatives and programs of Mental Health and Wellbeing services, such as itMatters, BASICS/ CASICS, UScreen, and Wellbeing/Wellness Coaching programs. In addition to the Director, this position works closely with the Associate Director of Wellbeing, the Associate Director of Counseling, and the AOD Counselor and Coordinator.
Minimum Qualifications
HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA OR EQUIVALENCY AND ONE YEAR OF RELATED OFFICE EXPERIENCE; OR EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE.
Additional Required Certifications, Licensures, and Certificates
Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a university environment.
  • Prior experience and demonstrated proficiency with Excel, Banner 9 and web-based software applications.
  • Prior experience and demonstrated skill with customer service etiquette, Mental Health and Well-Being knowledge.
  • Experience/Expertise with project management.
