HCS Contract Administrator

Summary

Responsible for supporting the full lifecycle of supply chain contracts. This role supports contract compliance and performance improvements in alignment with organizational goals. Day-to-day activities involve acting as a key liaison between UNC Health's operational teams and our vendors, fostering collaboration and helping to resolve contract or vendor performance issues. The role blends relationship management, process improvement, and data-driven decision-making to make a meaningful impact on our supply chain and the care our clinicians deliver.

Responsibilities

Assists in the development and maintenance of supplier contracts.

Resolves supplier contract pricing errors.

Monitors contract expiration dates and assists with initiating renewals or renegotiations as needed.

Coordinates responses to recalls of clinical supplies.

Assists with reviewing off-contract spend to assess contract feasibility.

Supports administration of repository for contracts.

Supports internal and external audits related to supply chain agreements as needed.

Uses digital platforms to automate contract tracking, alerts, and reporting.

Serves as a point of contact for vendor issues, fostering open communication and partnership.

Participates in supplier performance reviews and supplier improvement plans.

Supports ongoing vendor relationship management. Facilitates collaboration between internal departments and vendors to resolve supply chain issues. Tracks issues and confirms resolution; collaborate with vendors on corrective measures when needed.

Supports development of supplier dashboards, and reporting tools.

Other duties as may be required to support vendor contracting activities.

Education Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree required or equivalent professional experience
Licensure/Certification Requirements:
* No licensure or certification required.
Professional Experience Requirements:
* Three (3) years of sourcing, contracting, procurement and/or category commodity management
* If Associate's degree, seven (7) years of experience
* If High School degree, eleven (11) years of experience
Knowledge/Skills/and Abilities Requirements:
* Demonstrated ability to work with all levels and functional groups within and outside an organization
* Excellent analytical skills, problem solving, and negotiation skills
* Strong communication skills Conflict resolution and issue-management skills
* Ability to interact, collaborate and contribute to teams that encompass all levels of management/responsibility within or outside the UNCHC system
