The Director of Business Strategy - Partner Incentive Design position is within the Global Partner Investments team in GCPS, which is responsible for leading the design, implementation and governance of a multi-billion-dollar portfolio of investments.

This individual willbe responsible forleading the strategy and designof thepartneralignedprograms and investmentsfor one of our key commercial solution areas.This individual will engage across segment, marketing,andfieldteams to ensure thatour investments enable the achievement ofourbusiness goalsandsupport a multi-year transformation strategy across the portfolio. This role will need to collaborateeffectivelyacross teams topositively influencethe short- and long-term strategy ofour market-leading partner ecosystem.

Responsibilities

Sales Strategy Program Leadership:

  • Defines vision, strategy, and design for a set of partner-facing incentives and investments;

  • Develops, drives, and executes multiple sales strategy programs across organizational boundaries as a project lead through defining plans, goals, deliverables, feedback, resource balancing, and timing expectations - proactively identifying complex roadblocks and addressing them, driving projects including recommendations;

Cross Functional Joint Planning:

  • Establishes andmaintainskey points of contact with internal teams, managing and cultivating relationships to collaborate with key stakeholders across organizations, act as an advisor to senior leadership, and inform strategic sales planning decisions;

  • Demonstrates influence across multiple divisions, drives alignment an influence towards common goals,maintainsawareness about business transformation and longer-term growth;

Problem Solving and Insights:

  • Synthesizes findings into insights across sales projects, including implications and recommendations - creating frameworks and methodologies to drive problem solving;

  • Defines, tracks, and adjusts the effectiveness of programs (e.g., ROI, terms, payouts), providing agility and creativity in a compliant way;

  • Acts as subject matter expert on incentives and programs, leading short- and long-term structure for evaluating, prioritizing, and shaping partner-facing investments;

Travel may berequiredat a limited level(~5%).

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Engineering, or related field AND 5+ years experience in business consulting, sales, sales operations, information technology (IT), account management, business development, marketing, IT field sales, or a related field
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years experience in in Near Term Strategy (2 years out), Management Consulting, Sales, or Finance.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in shaping or supportinggo-to-marketstrategies, programs, or investments within Partner ecosystems.
  • Experience defining and leading business strategies from conception to reality, with exposure to pricing, incentive strategy project experience or subject matter expertise.
  • Experience with commercial business models, commercial channel, and licensing constructs, preferably with experience or familiarity with Microsoft's partner constructs.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, particularly the ability to synthesize complex issues and scenarios into easy-to-understand concepts with audiences of all levels, with experience collaborating with stakeholders with competing priorities to create aligned strategies.


Sales Strategy Enablement IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $130,900 - $251,900 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $165,600 - $272,300 per year.
