What Makes This Role Great:

In this role, reporting to Trimble's VP Legal, you will be more than just an attorney; you will be a key legal partner directly influencing Trimble's business and operational excellence and driving business results. You will have the unique opportunity to partner with business teams and provide guidance on a critical segment of the business-licensing and global sourcing-to allow our business to thrive in a fast-paced, global environment.

Key Exciting Responsibilities

* Drive global innovation by drafting and negotiating sophisticated SaaS, cloud, and other commercial licensing and strategic sourcing agreements that power our business and digital transformation.

* Act as the primary internal legal advisor for Trimble's payment processing relationships, providing high-level oversight and guidance to the Payments team.

* Provide strategic advice and direction to senior leadership, evaluating legal risks and identifying creative solutions to support business goals.

* Collaborate across business units to manage disputes and mentor contract professionals on complex legal negotiations.

Essential Skills & Experience

* You have 7+ years of legal experience with a deep focus on drafting and negotiating complex SaaS, payment processing, and commercial contracts.

* You hold a J.D. from an accredited law school and are in good standing with the bar in your state of employment.

* You possess exceptional negotiation and communication skills, with a proven talent for translating legal complexity into clear business solutions.

* Experience using AI in a business context to efficiently generate high-quality work product.

Bonus Points For:

* Experience within a large law firm or the in-house legal department of a global public company.

* Prior experience navigating legal challenges specifically within the tech or industrial hardware sectors.

Logistics

Location: Westminster, CO or Lake Oswego, OR (in-person at least 4 days/week)

Travel Requirement: Up to 5%

Compensation: Trimble provides the following compensation range and general description of other compensation and benefits that it in good faith believes it might pay and/or offer for this position. This compensation range is based on a full time schedule. Trimble reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant's sex or other status protected by local, state, or federal law.
