The position duties including performing molecular biology techniques including RNA/DNA extraction, PCR, plasmid preparation, basic cloning, NGS library prep, gel electrophoresis, tissue culture, performing basic sequence data analysis, scientific writing, organization of data appropriate to role in the lab, record keeping and data entry, and shared lab manager/organizational duties. Exceptional candidates will lead their own independent project(s), develop new ideas, be familiar with the literature, and participate in procurement of funds, where appropriate.
