Position Summary

The Assistant Professor- Course Facilitator is responsible for implementing the approved MCW curriculum and clinical experiences for the assigned Clinical course(s) to meet student educational needs. With support from the Regional Assistant Dean for Clinical Learning, the facilitator provides high quality educational activities compliant with LCME and HLC accreditation standards while adhering to state and federal regulations pertaining to education. The Assistant Professor- Course Facilitator provides an innovative and supportive active learning educational environment by providing direction and student support and mentoring. Position Highlights:Areas of responsibility of the Assistant Professor- Course Facilitator include; teach medical school students assigned course material, primarily interviewing and clinical skills in their first and second year curricula (Foundations of Clinical Medicine, Bench to Bedside, Foundational Capstone courses). 1. Education:MD, PhD or other terminal degree applicable to course(s) to be taught Additional Experience:Evidence of academic success through the establishment of a national or regional reputation. Previous experience that includes clinical experience facilitation, teaching, curricular committee work, faculty development and/or assessment and evaluation in graduate, medical, or health care professional educational activities, preferred.
