Your Role at Acousti

The Director of Human Resources at Acousti support the HR Executive on creating and leading the people strategy that supports operational execution and financial performance. This role leads workforce planning across field and corporate teams, ensures compliance with complex construction labor requirements, and partners closely with operations leadership on staffing, retention, and productivity. Ownership includes recruiting skilled labor and leaders, managing employee relations, overseeing compensation and incentive programs, and ensuring consistent application of policies across multi state operations. The Director serves as a senior advisor to executives on labor risk, organizational health, and leadership decisions.

This role also has a strong focus on execution and accountability. Responsibilities include directing benefits and vendor relationships, managing HR systems and analytics, supporting safety culture and compliance, and leading performance and succession planning. The Director builds and develops the HR team, drives consistency across projects and regions, and supports growth, change, and integration activities. The expectation is practical leadership, sound judgment, and close alignment with business priorities to support Acousti's operational and cultural goals.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

Process improvement

  • Map current workflows for HR practices, own design and implementation.
  • Maintain compliance practices for corporate office and field in line with state and federal regulations
  • Facilitate process improvement changes and coordinate with field and office teams.
  • Lead employee relations, investigations, and corrective action.

Initiatives support

  • Support new technology tool evaluation and implementation.
  • Create / revise / improve reports and forms to support Operations.
  • Maintain master tracker for KPI (Turnover, Open Requisitions, Head Count,etc.)
  • Manage task accountability and escalate impacts/delays.
  • Coordinate with Operations to advance compliance with corporate requirements.

Data and tools

  • Maintain HRIS and Onboarding Practices.
  • Improve data quality through process improvement.
  • Train end users and promote adoption of technologies, procedural changes and policies implementations.
  • Coordinate with software vendors/consultants to resolve support issues.

Cross functional collaboration

  • Partner with Operations, Finance, Safety, and IT.

  • Deep understanding of wage structures, per diem, and incentives.
  • Demonstrated experience in benefits and wellness strategies.

  • Strong financial and data literacy.

  • Ability to influence decisions without direct authority.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field.
  • Advanced degree or HR certification preferred.
  • Five or more years of progressive HR leadership experience.
  • Two or more years in construction or a similar field based industry.
  • Proven experience supporting large field workforces.
  • Demonstrated executive level advisory experience.
