Software & Security Developer

About the Role

We're looking for an early-career engineer who wants to grow into something more than a traditional developer role.

This position sits at the intersection of software engineering, cloud, and cybersecurity, with real exposure to NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF) /Authority to Operate (ATO) processes.

You'll work alongside experienced engineers supporting a modern cloud-based application, contributing to both feature development and security/compliance efforts. This is a hands-on role where you'll learn how real systems get built, secured, and approved for production use.

What You'll Be Doing

In this role, you won't be siloed. You'll be contributing across the lifecycle of the application.

• Support development of a cloud-native application using Vue.js, Node.js, C#, and TypeScript
• Assist with RMF/ATO documentation and compliance activities, learning how systems achieve authorization
• Work with engineers to implement secure coding practices and resolve vulnerabilities
• Help maintain and deploy applications in cloud environments
• Gain hands-on experience with Docker and containerized systems
• Collaborate with team members and gradually participate in client interactions

What We're Looking For

We're not expecting you to know everything-but we are looking for the right foundation and mindset.

• 1-3 years of experience in software development, cybersecurity, or a related field
• Working knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, or C#
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS or Azure)
• Basic understanding of secure coding or application security concepts
• Familiarity with databases such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Redis
• Some exposure to RMF, ATO, NIST, or compliance frameworks (academic or professional)

Nice to Have

• Experience working with Docker or containerized environments
• Familiarity with Vue.js or similar front-end frameworks
• Exposure to DevSecOps concepts or CI/CD pipelines
• Interest in working in regulated or government environments

Clearance Type: Able to obtain a security clearance
