Duration: 1 year, would be extension
Shift: Monday - Thursday- 5:30am 4:00pm
Payrate: $59.01/hr on w2 without benefits

Job Description:
  • A Lineman performs highly skilled, journey-level transmission, distribution, and electrical work in the installation, construction, maintenance, and repair of underground and overhead electric transmission, distribution and service lines, transformers, meters, metering equipment, electrical substations, and related equipment. A lineman is someone who works on electricity lines-installing, fixing, and maintaining power lines, transformers, meters, and related equipment (both overhead and underground).
Role & Responsibilities:
  • Install and repair power lines and electrical equipment
  • Climb poles, towers, and use bucket trucks
  • Work on high-voltage electricity (can be dangerous)
  • Fix power issues for customers
  • Help maintain substations and underground cables
  • Use tools, machines, and safety equipment
  • Physically demanding (lifting, climbing, working long hours)
  • Work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Can be risky due to high-voltage lines
  • May need to be on-call or respond to emergencies
Difference from Foreman
  • Lineman = does the actual field work
  • Foreman = supervises the team and manages work
Required Qualification:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Successful completion of an apprenticeship program in the Lineman trade
  • Some hands-on experience (6 months-1 year)
  • Valid CDL (truck driving license)
  • First Aid & CPR certification
  • Must live within a certain distance (Mesa area)
  • Arizona Blue Stake Law; and must understand and be thoroughly knowledgeable of all Safety Rules of the trade including American Public Power Association (APPA), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA)
Other requirements:
  • Must pass drug & alcohol testing
  • Must follow strict safety rules
