Your Role at Cabot:

Cabot Corporation is seeking a Supply Chain Supervisor to join the Burner Shop team at the Billerica, MA Technology Center location.

This role plays a critical role in overseeing a combination of Logistics and Fabrication activities to help execute the mission of the Burner Group which has a global responsibility for the part orders and fabrication of all Cabot manufacturing sites. These activities include shipping, receiving, inventory management, fabrication planning and scheduling, supplier coordination (purchasing, expediting, negotiating, quality), internal customer communication, and order management.

This is an ideal role for someone who is experienced in fabrication, enjoys working with vendors and supporting a company manufacturing site network.

This role is fully onsite at the Billerica, MA Technology Center location.

How You'll Make an Impact:

  • Oversee all Logistical activities within the Burner Group.

  • Direct & supervise Supply chain support staff.

  • Prepare Shop fabrication schedule.

  • Coordinate Inventory management to ensure it aligns with fabrication plans and schedules.

  • Lead annual inventory count.

  • May Prepare monthly financial reports as requested by the Group or Financial Manager

  • Act as main contact with suppliers.

  • Perform required purchasing tasks, including price and delivery negotiation.

  • Interact with fabricators regularly to ensure uninterrupted progress with regards to timely completion.

  • May act as group safety coordinator (rotates within the group).

What You'll Bring to Cabot:

  • Minimum of an associate degree or equivalent experience. Business bachelor's degree preferred.

  • 8+ years of experience in one or more of the following areas:

    • Industrial design and manufacturing or fabrication.

    • Local and international "hands-on" shipping management.

    • Planning and scheduling of fabrication or manufacturing tasks.

    • Ability to read fabrication drawings.

  • Proficiency in enterprise (JDE), Coupa and MS office software packages

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to deal positively and constructively with internal customers, suppliers, and co-workers.

  • Must be a team player and have a safety and service-oriented mindset. Be a problem solver with a strong ability to recognize and resolve conflicts. Consistently show good judgement - i.e. See the big picture and act appropriately.

  • Ability to work under frequently changing priorities and deadlines.

  • Proficiency in all aspects of shipping and receiving. (Local and globally)

  • Proficient in planning, scheduling, and related inventory management.

  • Basic purchasing and negotiation skills

  • Understanding of general accounting rules.

  • Awareness of engineering standards and codes

  • Mechanical aptitude and strong mathematical skills

  • The pay range for this role is from $80,300 to $110,500. The actual compensation offered to the successful candidate will depend on the candidate's skill, qualifications, experience and location. In addition, all positions are eligible for health benefits on the first day of employment, 401K savings plans, vision, dental and annual bonus based on company performance.
