Spanish Immersion Summer Camp Instructor

Primary Position Objective:
To plan, implement, and lead a theme-based Spanish immersion summer camp program for preschool and elementary aged students and ensure a safe and fun atmosphere for all participants.

Assignment:

• 7/13 - 7/17 (Preschool Safari Adventure Week), Mon-Fri, 9am - 12pm
• 7/20 - 7/24 (Around the World Week), Mon-Fri, 9am - 12pm
• 7/27 - 7/31 (The Great Outdoors Week), Mon-Fri, 9am - 12pm

Wages:
$20.60

Primary Objective of Position:
To plan, implement, and lead a theme-based Spanish immersion summer camp program for preschool and elementary aged students and ensure a safe and fun atmosphere for all participants.

Job Responsibilities:
1. Plan and carry out age-appropriate activities, games, songs and lessons consistent with class goals.
2. Manage classroom activities: supervise and provide guidance for participants and student assistant.
3. Provide a safe, caring, fun environment for children.
4. Maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.

Job Qualifications:
1. B.A. or B.S. degree in education, child development, or a related field
2. Demonstrated successful experience in a Spanish immersion program preferred.
3. Evidence of successful experience working with elementary aged students
4. Evidence of positive interpersonal skills; ability to relate well to children and adults
5. Proven record of punctuality and responsibility.
