The Surveying and Geomatics Business Unit is seeking a Land Survey Intern in Washington, with potential office locations of Woodinville, Bellevue, Everett, Bellingham, Olympia, or Tacoma, WA.

This position offers the opportunity to work as a junior member of a survey crew supporting a wide range of survey services for both public and private clients. Responsibilities include participating in boundary, topographic, ALTA, rightofway, and construction surveys while gaining handson experience in the field. Our team is fully staffed and equipped to deliver comprehensive land surveying services, including geodetic and control surveys, boundary and rightofway surveys, topographic and quantity surveys, construction staking, static and mobile 3D scanning and modeling, and hydrographic surveys. These surveying and geomatics services support a diverse client base across a broad geographic area, providing exposure to a variety of project types and environments.

What You'll Do Key Responsibilities:
  • Support survey operations as a junior member of a crew performing boundary, topographic, ALTA, right of way, and construction surveys for public and private clients
  • Operate and maintain survey equipment, collect field data, and record accurate field notes
  • Perform basic survey calculations and assist with data reduction and processing
  • Collaborate with DEA team members and clients to support project delivery
  • Work primarily in the field with opportunities for occasional office tasks, including data management and preparation of survey drawings using AutoCAD and other design software
What You Bring Required Qualifications:
  • Currently enrolled in and taking coursework toward a degree program that includes the study of Land Surveying
  • Willingness and ability to work in a variety of weather conditions
