Restaurant Supervisor

Position Overview

The Restaurant Supervisor is responsible for promoting and ensuring exceptional guest satisfaction through strong leadership, operational oversight, and a commitment to service excellence. This role focuses on maintaining a positive team environment, supporting associate engagement, and delivering prompt, courteous, and accurate service. The Restaurant Supervisor is accountable for daily operations and contributes to sales and profitability within assigned outlets.

This position is supervisory in nature and requires a consistent on-the-floor presence during all meal periods. Administrative work is limited primarily to scheduling and monitoring labor in alignment with budget guidelines.

Key Responsibilities



  • Actively support the Quality Improvement Process
  • Assist in identifying and implementing effective marketing strategies for assigned outlets
  • Oversee daily operations of assigned food and beverage venues
  • Support financial performance through cost control and labor management
  • Ensure accurate, timely scheduling aligned with forecasts and budget guidelines
  • Maintain a motivated, well-trained, and engaged team
  • Open and close shifts according to management checklists
  • Proactively engage guests and solicit feedback to enhance satisfaction
  • Train, enforce, and uphold Horseshoe Bay Resort and Crescent Hotels & Resorts service standards
  • Execute proper revenue, check, and cash control procedures
  • Manage daily associate relations, including scheduling adjustments and timekeeping
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for guests and associates
  • Prepare and utilize operational tools such as schedules, floor plans, reservations, and checks
  • Resolve daily operational challenges such as call-outs and last-minute bookings
  • Assist with seating, serving, and kitchen communication during peak service times
  • Maintain a visible floor presence throughout meal periods to ensure coverage and service quality
  • Conduct menu knowledge sessions and taste panels
  • Ensure consistent quality of food and beverage products
  • Confirm completion of daily side work and adherence to uniform and footwear standards
  • Coordinate repair and maintenance needs using work orders and inspections
  • Assist and coach associates as needed to ensure guest satisfaction
  • Promote empowerment principles and fair station rotation


Employment Requirements



  • Minimum age of 18
  • High school diploma or GED required; college education preferred
  • Minimum of two years of food service or hospitality-related experience
  • Current TABC certification required
  • Food Handler's Certificate required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated leadership and teamwork abilities
  • Basic technical knowledge of restaurant operations
  • Proven hospitality mindset and strong work ethic


Physical & Mental Requirements



  • Regularly lift and carry up to 10 pounds; occasionally up to 50 pounds
  • Stand and move for extended periods during service
  • Maintain proper food handling and equipment use
  • Adhere to all safety, sanitation, and security policies
  • Immediately report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions
  • Demonstrate problem-solving skills and adaptability
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment


Work Environment Notice

Qualifications
Education

Experience
Supported sales and profitability goals by overseeing labor scheduling, monitoring staffing levels, and assisting with cost control initiatives. (preferred)
Supervised and coached front-of-house staff to deliver friendly, attentive service while maintaining a fun, professional atmosphere. (preferred)
2 years: Led daily operations for a high-volume, members-only pool or restaurant environment, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, smooth service flow, and adherence to brand service standards. (preferred)
