DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this confidential Administrative Assistant 1 position, you will provide essential administrative analysis, research, and liaison support to ensure the efficiency of departmental operations. Your core responsibilities will include studying organizational processes to develop and recommend improved procedures, as well as preparing detailed reports to advise leadership. These efforts will ensure that statewide hearing schedules and special programs consistently meet legal mandates, resource limitations, and board priorities. In addition to high-level analysis, you will manage daily operational tasks such as responding to inquiries, processing mail, and reviewing waiver packets and hearing reports to determine appropriate actions. You will also oversee logistical requirements, including arranging travel and ordering supplies. A critical component of this role involves coordinating with the Office of Victim Advocate to ensure the proper attendance of board members and examiners during victim testimonies, maintaining procedural integrity and professional support for all participants.

- Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
- Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:45 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 45-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time up to 3 days per week after sufficient training. You must report in-office 2 days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Such training as may have been gained through graduation from a four year college or university; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
Other Requirements:

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirement:
- You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
