Responsibilities: Duties to be performed under the general supervision of a Polysomnography Technologist II or Licensed Physician.*Performs polysomnography acquisitions, per departmental protocols while monitoring signal quality. *Performs scoring of sleep testing and generates study reports. *Document routine observations per department policy to facilitate scoring and interpretation of polysomnographic results. *Perform routine positive airway pressure mask fitting. *Maintains, cleans, calibrates, and troubleshoots Sleep Center equipment. *Educates patients regarding sleep testing and orients them to the Sleep Center. *Communicates with Sleep Center physicians regarding their patients and / or testing procedures. *Applies electrodes per physician ordered montage and departmental procedure. *In consultation with the Supervisor, makes decisions regarding application of appropriate therapy. *Analysis of polysomnograms. *Prepares sleep studies for record storage and/or archiving. Other duties to be performed as assigned: *Trains for scoring sleep studies. *Attends meetings and in-services as required. *Functions as an effective team member. *Other functions as required. Qualifications: *High School Diploma or GED*Graduated from an accredited educational program described in section 5 of the Polysomnographic Practice Act. *Registered Polysomnography Technologist (RPSGT) required to obtain within 2 years of employment *NM Polysomnographic Temporary Permit required. Or Completion of Accredited educational program accredited by NBRC - National Board of Respiratory Care.
