Job Description:

POSITION SUMMARY

The Vista ERP Architect is responsible for the technical architecture, configuration, integration, and continuous improvement of the organization's Vista ERP and HCSS platforms. This role ensures these systems effectively support business operations, integrate seamlessly with other enterprise applications, and deliver accurate, reliable data for operational and strategic decisions.

The Vista ERP Architect collaborates with all cross-functional teams to ensure system capabilities support business processes and organizational goals. This role is essential in system configuration, data governance, integrations, reporting, and continuous improvement of ERP functionality across the organization.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

ERP System Configuration and Optimization

  • Configure, maintain, and optimize Vista ERP and HCSS modules to support operational and financial business processes.
  • Manage user roles, permissions, and security configurations to ensure appropriate system access and compliance.
  • Monitor system performance and implement enhancements to improve efficiency, usability, and reliability.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage additional system features, modules, or enhancements to maximize platform value.

Integration and Data Architecture

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain integrations between Vista, HCSS, and other enterprise systems.
  • Support API-based integrations (SOAP/REST) and file-based integrations (e.g., CSV and other structured formats).
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity through monitoring, validation processes, and troubleshooting.
  • Partner with data and analytics teams to support reporting, dashboards, and enterprise data initiatives.

System Upgrades and Change Management

  • Manage ERP system upgrades, patches, and enhancements.
  • Lead regression testing and coordinate system validation during software updates or releases.
  • Evaluate the impact of system changes and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure smooth implementation.

Technical Support and Problem Resolution

  • Serve as the primary technical resource for Vista and HCSS platform troubleshooting.
  • Diagnose and resolve system, integration, or data issues.
  • Coordinate with vendor support teams (HCSS) as needed to resolve complex issues.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Act as a liaison between IT and business teams to ensure ERP systems support operational needs.
  • Provide technical guidance and recommendations to business stakeholders regarding system capabilities and best practices.
  • Participate in cross-department initiatives that require ERP system design, configuration, or data integration.

Compliance, Reporting, and Data Governance

  • Support internal audit, compliance, and financial reporting requirements through accurate system configuration and reporting capabilities.
  • Assist in maintaining appropriate system documentation, integration documentation, and technical standards.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Participate in ERP-related projects, system improvements, and technology initiatives as assigned.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Sr. Director of IT Systems.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; or an associate degree with relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
  • Minimum of 5 yearsof technical experience with Vista ERP and HCSS platforms.
  • Strong understanding of Vista and HCSS system architecture, workflows, and data structures.
  • Advanced experience with SQL development, database troubleshooting, and data analysis.
  • Experience with SQL Server architecture design, performance tuning, and database indexing strategies.
  • Experience with logical and physical data modeling.
  • Experience in planning and executing data migrations and system data validation.
  • Experience developing and supporting API-based integrations (SOAP and REST).
  • Experience developing and supporting file-based integrations, including CSV and structured data formats.
  • Experience working within Microsoft Azure environments.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft development platforms and technologies.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced and evolving technology environment.
  • Demonstrated customer-focused mindset with strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach.

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Experience with Crystal Reports design and development.
  • Experience with Microsoft Synapse Analytics.
  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric analytics platform.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft collaboration and productivity tools, including Teams and SharePoint.
  • Experience supporting ERP platforms within construction, infrastructure, or project-based industries.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those employees may encounter while performing the essential functions of this job. Most often, an office environment; however, occasional jobsite travel is required. Employees frequently work alone and with others. The employee occasionally may encounter high noise levels when visiting jobsites on occasion, but hearing protection is provided/required.

Base Compensation: $86,000 - $112,500

The base salary range may vary depending on geographic location, applicant skills, and prior relevant experience.
