Summary:
Provides assistance to the Principal Investigator and Study Team in coordinating research activities that may include conducting a variety of routine experiments with established methodologies, data collection and management, and other research activities as assigned.

Essential Functions:
-Responsible for data collection, management, manipulation, analysis, and reporting.
-Study cohort management.
-Outreach communication with subjects, conducting mailings, follow-up on mailings, and obtaining necessary documents.
-Provides assistance on work related to epidemiological studies and other population-based research.

Education:
Bachelor's Degree Science required

Experience:
New grad with some relevant coursework 0-1 year preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
-Good interpersonal and communication skills.
-Careful attention to detail.
-Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize a variety of tasks.
-Computer literacy, including database tools.
-Ability to follow directions and exhibit professionalism.

Primary Responsibilities Preferred:

Recruiting and interviewing subjects, writing IRB materials, managing budgets and grant submissions, engaging with patients, supervising undergraduate research trainees, and conducting preliminary social network analysis.

This position will provide the Research Assistant the opportunity to gain patient-contact experience, managerial skills, exposure to neurology, and data analysis skills that could lead to academic presentations.

This job is well suited for individuals interested in social networks, neurology, or a career in research or medicine. A background in computer science, statistics, andsocial science are beneficial. BS or BA - new graduate with relevant course or prior clinical research work experience.
