The sourcing planner role will play a crucial part in ensuring Coke Consolidated's operations run efficiently, our sourcing is optimized to meet marketing and sales strategy, and our decision-making is data driven. You will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating various aspects of capacity planning, sourcing optimization, innovation launch planning and data analysis to support our production and supply chain functions. This position requires product management skills due to cross functional coordination with varies departments within the organization including Marketing, Sales and Operations Planning, Master Data, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Product Supply. To fulfill the role well, the sourcing and optimization planner must be an excellent communicator, possess great analytical skills, have business acumen, and strive for continuous improvement. The role requires outstanding collaboration and influencing skills both within the company and to external partners.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Build detailed network optimized data models focused on driving efficiencies, improving service, and reducing costs.
  • Support product supply planning to ensure timelines are met to meet the in-market date of innovation.
  • Assist with data information flow between Consolidated groups. These groups include in-market dates, master data set up completion, and the first date of inventory.
  • Raise awareness when timelines are not met that will impact the in-market date on innovation and other projects.
  • Understand and propose exit strategies or system changes to Consolidated leaders.
  • Support and lead meetings for product supply planning that involve downtime planning, source changes within the network, innovation planning, and process changes.
  • Assist in organizing, informing timelines, and availability of new products presented from the National Product Supply Group.
  • Determine the optimal sourcing solution for new innovations and existing SKUs based on plant capabilities, capacity, dating, costs from multiple large data sets.
  • Understand how most functions withing the business operate to help make data driven decisions with non-quantitative knowledge or variables from other groups.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Sales and Operations Planning, Inventory Management, Demand Planning, and Finance.
  • The sourcing and optimization planner must be able to conceptualize abstract aspects of inventory management and production planning.
  • This role coordinates multi-facets of supply chain planning to support new item SKU launches, strategic collaboration with high profile chains sales initiatives, and drives optimal sourcing to support our internal and external partners' deployment execution strategies.
  • An active member with Product Supply Planning cross-functional projects and task force initiatives.
  • Provides high-quality service to internal and external customers.
  • Keeps customers engaged and informed of status and progress of projects.
  • Seeks collaborative solutions to address customer issues.
  • Takes the necessary action to support customer needs and concerns.
  • Tailors' communication to meet the needs of key partners and situations.
  • Builds upon relationships and keeps others informed of progress towards shared goals.
  • Demonstrates clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Knowledge acquired through 1 or more years of relevant work or internship experience
  • Bachelor's degree (4 years).
  • Knowledge acquired through 3-5 years of work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Education or work experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or Finance
  • SQL, Python or VBA Experience

  • Remote 1 day a week
