About the Job

The Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator (Research Professional 1) in our Non-invasive Neuromodulation Laboratory (NNL).

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

Data Collection and Technical Training (75%):
*Implement protocols for studies using non-invasive neuromodulation techniques, such as TMS and tDCS, on study participants with guidance from senior NNL staff or other study staff.
*Assist with training lab users based on specific study protocols.
*Collect data using paper forms, computers, digital databases, and specialized equipment, per protocol. Enter and verify data. Complete regular quality checks and clean-up of data.
*Collaborate and regularly communicate with study teams and maintain proficiency in each individual study protocol. Promptly communicate critical observations to study team leads, as required.
*Maintain proficiency in each individual study protocol to ensure technical precision.
*Prepare for study appointments per protocol by: creating participant profiles within data capture systems; setting up equipment needed for visit; and other tasks as needed.
*Schedule appointments with lab staff per protocols.
*Provide participants with instructions and materials needed to prepare for the visit. Support participants during tasks, including providing instructions, technical troubleshooting, and clarifying questions.
*Prepare regular updates for lab meetings and study team meetings, as needed.
*Other tasks as assigned.

Regulatory Management and Documentation (15%):
*Adhere to local and federal policies for conducting research and documentation of study activities.
*Assist in the maintenance of regulatory documents, such as: participant visit logs; source documents; personnel training records; and other documentation as required.
*Coordinate the purchasing of new laboratory equipment through university and third-party vendors to maintain laboratory needs and create appropriate environments for participant safety.
*Use University systems such as Florence, OnCore, Box, and REDCap as directed for regulatory documentation.
*Document study events using Notes to File, as required.
*Other tasks as assigned.

Lab Support Tasks (10%):
*Conduct literature reviews in support of manuscripts, grants, and other tasks as needed.
*Prepare materials for presentations, publications, and grants.
*Participate in regular team meetings.
*Other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

*BA/BS degree or a combination of education and related work experience to equal four years.

Pay Range: Salary range is $23-24/hour; depending on education/qualifications/experience
