Description

In this position, you'll help lead efforts to evaluate and enhance modeling approaches that better capture reliability risks and assess the capacity value of both existing and emerging resources. You'll perform and analyze LOLE studies, help refine QA/QC practices, and contribute to improvements that increase confidence in modeling outcomes. Your work will help inform ongoing accreditation efforts, policy discussions, and system enhancements.

You'll also apply your technical perspective to interpret planning data across MISO and the broader industry, identifying trends and potential challenges. Along the way, you'll serve as a resource for teammates-sharing knowledge, offering guidance, and supporting the development of less experienced engineers-while collaborating across teams to continuously improve Resource Adequacy processes.

The base salary compensation range being offered for this role is $124,000-$149,000 USD annually. Base salary range for this position is included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual competencies, education/professional certifications, and qualifications/experience.

Education
Bachelors of Electronics & Computer Engineering Technology (required)
Bachelors of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (required)
Bachelors of Electrical & Computer Engineering (required)
Bachelors of Electrical Engineering Technology (required)
Bachelors of Computer Engineering (required)
Bachelors of Electrical Engineering (required)
Masters (preferred)
Experience
Previous resource adequacy, data analytics and visualization experience (preferred)
Specific experience with any of the following: SAC, RBDC, probabilistic assessment, or transmission planning (preferred)
5 years: Related experience with Electric or Power Systems, wholesale capacity and energy markets, Energy Industry, or ISO/RTOs. (required)
