The Knoxville Engineering Office is the engineering execution center for Bechtel's Nuclear, Security, & Environmental business line, providing engineering design development and support to multiple large complex projects. Projects executed out of this office are primarily large government works throughout various sectors, including DOD and DOE. Job Summary:
As a Deputy Electrical Engineering Group Supervisor for the Knoxville Electrical Engineering Team, you will be responsible for assisting the Electrical Engineering Group Supervisor in leading other Electrical Engineers and Electrical Designers who will prepare designs for Electrical Systems in support of various projects. The successful candidate must have strong organizational and teamwork skills, proven problem-solving capabilities, and the desire to innovate designs. This position has technical responsibility for interpreting, organizing, and coordinating these assignments. This involves exploration of the subject area, the definition of the scope, and may involve the development of novel concepts, approaches, and solutions. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in system design and can develop design documents, including single line diagrams, schematics, and equipment data sheets that incorporate the applicable design. You will be interfacing and coordinating with other engineering disciplines and the client in design development. Additionally, the ideal candidate must have excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) and can be the "face" of Bechtel, promoting our leadership, quality, and safety values, to external partners including vendors, construction companies, and other subcontractors.
