The Technical Aircraft Inspector performs aircraft, aircraft component and shop inspections to assure compliance with Army technical instructions and related
directives.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
* Maintains technical publications and related directive.
* Maintains technical publications, forms and records relative to aircraft maintenance.
* Administers and monitor ADAP and TBO programs.
* Administers and monitor aircraft weight and balance programs.
* Initiates and follow on Quality Deficiency Reports.
* Ensures compliance with SOF and MIM directives.
* Coordinates related MWO requirements.
* Ensures TMDE equipment schedules are met and kept current.
* Facilitates any special requirements as required by supervision personnel.
* The Technical Aircraft Inspector may be required to perform other related duties to meet theongoing needs of the organization.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job has no supervisory responsibilities. This position has the responsibility and authority tocarry out assigned tasks.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
* Beginner to intermediate computer skills specifically using Microsoft Office Suite; ability tolearn additional computer skills or software programs. Working knowledge of advanced softwareapplications is preferred

* Ability to enter data accurately into databases.
* Ability to understand and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenanceinstructions, and procedure manuals.
* Ability to generate routine reports and correspondence
* Interpersonal skills are necessary to work effectively and cooperatively with all levels ofmanagement and staff. Will also routinely interact with other crew members
* Ability to use general office equipment such as fax, phone, copier, scanner, printers, etc.
* Ability to follow a process.
* Strong professional customer service skills, including active listening, prompt service andfollow-up.
* Strong decision analysis and problem solving skills; ability to draw conclusions and justifydecisions. Must be able to communicate issues to management.
* Ability to learn and understand corporate policies and procedures and how they relate togoals.
* Ability to perform basic mathematical computations

QUALIFICATIONS:
* High School Diploma / Equivalent
* Must have a minimum of Six (6) years Aviation Inspection experience.
* Must have an A & P License or a Military School Certification.
* Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and be required to operate a governmentgeneral purpose vehicle
* Willingness to travel
* Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Government Security Clearance

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
A fast-paced multi-tasking customer service-oriented environment requiring a high degree ofefficient and effective performance. Adaptability regarding schedule and task changes is necessary to accommodate changing priorities. Overtime may be required.
