Business Analyst - IFS ERP (Finance & Operations)

Location: Spring, TX
Employment Type: Direct Hire

Overview

A growing, operationally focused energy company is seeking a Business Analyst with IFS ERP experience to support and enhance its core ERP environment. This role is highly visible and hands-on, working directly with accounting, operations, and IT to stabilize the system, resolve issues, and support ongoing business growth.

This is an opportunity to step into a build-and-improve environment, where systems and processes are actively evolving rather than fully mature.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary liaison between business users (Accounting/Finance/Operations) and IT for ERP-related needs
  • Support IFS ERP stabilization, troubleshooting system issues and improving overall performance
  • Gather and document business requirements, translating them into functional system solutions
  • Assist with system configuration, enhancements, and process optimization within IFS
  • Lead or support integration of newly acquired entities into the ERP environment
  • Participate in data migration, testing (UAT), and system validation efforts
  • Drive process improvements, documentation, and user training initiatives
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure alignment across finance, supply chain, and operations
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, ERP Analyst, or Functional Consultant
  • Hands-on experience with IFS ERP (or strong ERP experience with exposure to IFS)
  • Strong understanding of finance/accounting processes (GL, AP, AR, etc.)
  • Experience with ERP implementations, integrations, or system enhancements
  • Ability to work directly with business stakeholders to solve system and process challenges
  • Experience with requirements gathering, UAT, and documentation
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in energy, manufacturing, or industrial environments
  • Exposure to data migration and system integration efforts
  • Familiarity with Agile or hybrid delivery environments
  • Experience supporting multi-entity or acquisition-driven organizations

  • the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
  • licensure and certification requirements;
