Description * With the increased demand of Grid Modernization efforts, there is a consistent need to upgrade Utility networks with redundancy, resiliency, and capacity. * Our client is looking for an experienced Wireless Engineer to support various projects with increase in workload and overall initiatives across their UCOMM division. * They currently have multiple large scale projects going on that include PLTE, Microwave Upgrades, LMR expansions, etc. * All of these initiatives are stretching internal teams to be cross utilized and they need a dedicated resource to support smaller projects that are specific or aligned to one of the larger projects. * Day to day can vary based on the candidate and where their skill set falls, but ideally this resource will be supporting MESH/ Microwave equipment across the deployment lifecycle. * They will work hand and hand with lead engineers and various vendors to provide guidance of best practices related to Design, Backhaul, Site Surveys, BOMs, Quality Control, Documentation, etc. * This role will be a mixture of execution by the individual resource as well as coordinating with cross functional teams (IE: PMO, Engineers, OEM vendors, etc) to drive projects along. * Multiple different projects this resource can be cross utilized on and will vary based on their experience/specialty. This will be focused on RAN support. * This resource will work in a hybrid capacity with current state being Monday/Friday remote and Tuesday-Thursday in office/field. * Address states MOB, but there is flexibility on what office the resource reports too. Skills LMR, Land Mobile Radio, Wireless, site survey, bom, Lan, Trunking, design, MESH, distribution engineering Additional Skills & Qualifications A BS degree is highly desired, or relevant work experience. - To be successful in this role the engineer needs a mixture of field/hands on experience as well as strong functional aptitude. Finally the ability to take initiative. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Philadelphia, PA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $45.00 - $75.00/hr.
