Job Description

Provide personnel policy and procedure guidance to employees and management.

Investigate employee relations issues. Coach Managers and employees on employee relations matters to ensure employment actions are not arbitrary or discriminatory and are well documented.

Recruiting for all hourly and salary level positions

Identify and recommend ways to improve policies and procedures to ensure company and department efficiency.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal and state employment law and compliance requirements

Coordinate open enrollments, changes, and training for employee benefits programs.

Respond to benefit issues and human resources-related inquiries such as policy interpretation and benefit issues.

Create and distribute internal communications regarding status changes, benefits, or company policies.

Monitor employee morale and company culture.

Maintain employee personnel records.

Maintain LMS system and conduct compliance training

Develop and facilitate development training initiatives

Maintains HRIS/ATS system and personnel updates in system and produces reports/metrics

Provide support to HR team members.

Function as a trusted resource to employees, managers and the HR team upholding the utmost level of confidentiality

Coordinate with payroll termination documentation. Conduct exit interviews, analyze feedback and recommend improvements or corrective action if necessary

Coordinate with EH&S Workers' Comp administration

Qualifications
  • Education:

Bachelor's degree in human resources management or related discipline preferred

  • Experience:

Minimum of 5 years of progressive Human Resources experience in manufacturing or other similar environments

  • Experience/knowledge of equipment, machines, tools, etc:

Requires working knowledge of computer, scanner, facsimile machine and other standard office equipment

  • Communication and Language skills:

Excellent analytical, verbal and written communication skills to accurately document, report, and present findings to a variety of audiences including senior management and senior external parties

  • Mathematical skills:

Intermediate mathematics skills, including basic algebra

  • Computer Skills:

Advanced working knowledge in MS Word and Excel spreadsheets - formulas, graphs and charts. Proficiency in creation of PowerPoint and presentation of slideshows

  • Reasoning ability:

Requires ability to assess facts and develop conclusions

  • Certificates or Licenses:

PHR and/or SHRM-CP certificate

  • Other Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities:
  • Expertise in HR policies and procedures
  • Strong knowledge of recruiting and hiring processes
  • The ability to identify issues and develop solutions to a variety of problems of diverse scope and complexity
  • The ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information
  • The ability to initiate, plan, and manage projects
