Apply now Job Summary The CAN Advisor will provide academic and social skills support to neurodivergent students including students with autism and other developmental or learning differences. The CAN Advisor will help students develop effective learning skills, study habits, time management strategies and workplace skills. The CAN Advisor will collaborate with the CAN Director to provide direct and indirect supports and resources for student success, independence, and self-advocacy. The successful candidate will help students set short-term and long-term goals, and monitor goal progress throughout the academic year. The CAN Advisor will respond to students experiencing academic difficulties and will develop academic interventions designed to improve their academic performance. This person will assist students in learning effective study skills that involve awareness of how to learn - knowing how to retain, organize, integrate, and apply information, problem-solving, and successfully balancing life in the process. Additional Information This is a Full-Time temporary position classified as Non-Exempt. The offered pay is based on the successful candidate's qualifications and experience, department budget, and an internal equity review.
