Title: Medical Technician Location: Castle Hayne, NC 28429 Duration: 03 Months to Long-Term Schedule: Standard Shift (40 Hours/Week) Pay Rate Range: $20-25/Hour Job Responsibilities: Medication & Treatment: Responsible for all aspects of medication administration, including transcribing orders, ordering supplies, and documenting treatments. Patient Assessment: Assist with initial inmate assessments by monitoring vital signs (height, weight, blood pressure) and reporting clinical findings to higher-level medical staff. Clinical Procedures: Perform basic medical treatments such as wound care, dressing changes, and collecting laboratory specimens (blood, urine, feces). Security & Safety: Essential duties include following strict safety and security protocols, supporting emergency response efforts, and providing one-on-one "active watch" for patients at risk of self-harm. Required Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent (GED) is typically required. Must successfully complete a Medication Technician course. Current CPR/First Aid/BLS certification. Ability to perform physical tasks such as CPR chest compressions, walking significant distances during a shift (up to 7 miles), and lifting patients on gurneys.
