Description Survey Crew Chief II - Richardson, TX! This position entails leading a two-or three-person surveyor field crew to accurately and efficiently perform field surveys in support of land development, transportation, utility, energy, and land surveying projects using conventional, GPS, or terrestrial laser scanning methodology. What you will need: 3+ years of experience as a Crew Chief performing topographic surveys, TxDOT, ALTA and boundary surveys, or construction staking. Hands-on experience with Trimble GPS and/or Conventional equipment, preferred. Must have a valid Texas Driver's License. Must possess physical capabilities to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time. Possess a meticulous attention to detail and keen eye to promote and ensure accuracy. There is minimal room for error in this position. Exceptional capacity to grasp new learning material. Strong willingness to comply with specific instructions that may be provided in different methods of communication. Proficient in modern means of communication and effective use of smart portable devices. Adhere to Halff and client safety standards at all times while performing field duties. High level of dependability, discipline, and responsibility to be a positive representative for Halff and remain punctual on a consistent basis. Must be able to arrive to work earlier than usual start time, beginning at 7am, Monday through Friday. Overtime and weekend work may be needed to meet project deadlines. Travel generally required for position, up to 50% per month. Ability to pass a drug and background screen. Candidate must be local or within reasonable proximity to the Richardson/Dallas area. Physical Requirements: Excellent physical condition to perform field work, outdoors, in various conditions including extreme heat, cold, and wind. Must be able to travel to various project sites.
