Genesis10 is currently seeking a Business Analyst Professional for a12 month contract to hire position located in McLean, VA. This is a hybrid position that requires being onsite 3 to 4 days a week with our client, a major financial services firm.
Summary: This position involves partnering with business stakeholders and the Product Owner to document product goals, customer needs, and desired outcomes. The role supports day-to-day execution by clarifying scope, documenting decisions, and helping teams stay aligned on requirements. It takes a "business process first " approach by understanding current and future-state processes before developing solutions. The work includes decomposing processes into capabilities and functional components to support process reengineering and requirements definition. Drafting and refining features and user stories, including acceptance criteria, is done in collaboration with Product and delivery teams. The position supports backlog refinement by ensuring items are clearly defined, ready for estimation, and aligned with intended outcomes. It contributes to customer-driven design by incorporating user pain points, usability findings, and market or industry insights. Cross-functional collaboration is supported across UX, Change Management, Development, Architecture, Data, and other horizontal teams to aid delivery and rollout. The role involves communicating status, insights, and risks, and escalating issues with recommended options when needed. Participation in activities supporting development and deployment, such as process redesign support, Day 1 readiness, risk and controls documentation, testing of user stories, and UAT support, is also part of this position. Pay rate range: $41.00 - $107.32 hourly.
