Genesis10 is currently seeking a Business Analyst Professional for a12 month contract to hire position located in McLean, VA. This is a hybrid position that requires being onsite 3 to 4 days a week with our client, a major financial services firm.

Summary:

This position involves partnering with business stakeholders and the Product Owner to document product goals, customer needs, and desired outcomes. The role supports day-to-day execution by clarifying scope, documenting decisions, and helping teams stay aligned on requirements. It takes a "business process first " approach by understanding current and future-state processes before developing solutions. The work includes decomposing processes into capabilities and functional components to support process reengineering and requirements definition. Drafting and refining features and user stories, including acceptance criteria, is done in collaboration with Product and delivery teams. The position supports backlog refinement by ensuring items are clearly defined, ready for estimation, and aligned with intended outcomes. It contributes to customer-driven design by incorporating user pain points, usability findings, and market or industry insights. Cross-functional collaboration is supported across UX, Change Management, Development, Architecture, Data, and other horizontal teams to aid delivery and rollout. The role involves communicating status, insights, and risks, and escalating issues with recommended options when needed. Participation in activities supporting development and deployment, such as process redesign support, Day 1 readiness, risk and controls documentation, testing of user stories, and UAT support, is also part of this position. Your Impact:
  • The Product Analyst will be part of the Multifamily Technology team, supporting product delivery and business transformation for the Multifamily function for the Capital Markets business line.
  • This role partners closely with Product Owner, delivery teams, and stakeholders to help clarify needs, translate them into well-defined requirements, and measure outcomes.
  • Your work supports decision-making and execution across three primary areas:
  • Customer & process understanding: Support Product Owner to partner with internal and external customers to understand needs and operational workflows and translate them into clear requirements and insights.
  • Strategy-to-execution support: Help connect business strategy to backlog refinement by providing analysis, sizing inputs, and outcome visibility.
  • Representation & partnership: Serve as a key contributor and subject matter resource for Multifamily Technology, including coordination with connected teams.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 2 - 4 years of experience in product /business analysis, product operations, or a related role supporting technology delivery.
  • Proficient with Atlassian software suite (Jira, Confluence) or similar agile management tools.
  • Experience working with agile delivery teams (Scrum, Kanban, etc.) and supporting backlog refinement, business process documentation and requirements management.
  • Strong analytical, strategic, and problem-solving skills; able to use data and stakeholder input to inform recommendations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including ability to facilitate working sessions and document outcomes clearly.
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguous environments with flexibility to manage multiple concurrent priorities.
  • Experience in the mortgage, real estate, or broader financial services industry is required.

Pay rate range: $41.00 - $107.32 hourly.
